Andy Brooks, general secretary of the Central Committee of the New Communist Party of Britain, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to give wide publicity to works of Kim Jong Il and his sacred revolutionary career and exploits and hold colorful political and cultural events including meeting and book and photo exhibition from January 20 to February 16.
