Osvaldo Larriva Alvarado, chairman of the Ecuadorian committee for remembering leader Kim Jong Il, said this at an inaugural ceremony of the Ecuadorian national preparatory committee for celebrating the 73rd birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il on January 19.

He went on:

Kim Jong Il devoted all his life to the country's prosperity and happiness of its people and turned the DPRK into a political, ideological and military power with the far-reaching goal to glorify Korea true to the cause of President Kim Il Sung.

The inauguration of the preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il is an expression of the highest tribute to him.

Osvaldo Larriva Alvarado extended invariable support and solidarity to the Korean people working hard to build a thriving socialist nation and achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.
