Japan, which is next to the U.S. in the possession of combat forces among the capitalist countries today, has increased its military budget to the maximum. It can not be construed otherwise than an attempt to turn Japan into a military power and launch overseas expansion, Rodong Sinmun Sunday says this in a commentary.

It goes on:

Japan is more openly seeking to turn it into a military power despite the increasing concern of its surrounding countries and the world community as it is being instigated by the U.S.

It is an old method employed by the Japanese reactionaries to rush headlong into the overseas aggression, backed by a big country.

The U.S. is egging its inferior ally on to choose a dangerous path as it stoops to any means and method to use Japan as a shock brigade in realizing its aggressive Asia-Pacific strategy.

It has actively instigated Japan to exercise the "right to collective self-defense" and give up the "three principles of arms export".

It is by no means accidental that the Japanese reactionaries are more frantically rushing headlong into a military giant while seeking its military supremacy in the Asia-Pacific region with the U.S.
