Bird Flu, Foot and Mouth Disease Continue to Occur in S. Korea

Pyongyang, January 26 (KCNA) -- Bird flu broke out on a farm in Phochon, Kyonggi Province on Jan. 23, according to MBC of south Korea.

Chickens were all culled and buried and any movement of poultry within 10 km around the farm was prohibited.

Bird flu also occurred in Kosong County, South Kyongsang Province, leading to culling and burying many ducks.

An examination of 10 pigs on a farm in Poun County, North Chungchong Province confirmed foot and mouth disease, according to KBS on the same day.
