Present there were scientists, technicians, teachers and field officials of different units, including the Ministry of State Natural Resources Development, Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Sariwon University of Geology, Phyongsong University of Coal Mining and the Geological Research Institute of the State Academy of Sciences.

The presentation was divided into the mineral prospecting and geological composition and information panels. Its participants heard more than 150 valuable papers.

During the presentation lectures were given to introduce world trend in the field of geology and the theory of geological prospecting in Korea and its development.

There were introduction of books including "Series of Korean Geology" (ten volumes) and brisk exchange of multi-media.
