In order to open up a broad avenue to independent reunification this year, the south Korean authorities should remove the danger of war and create a peaceful climate on the Korean peninsula, halt confrontation of social systems and opt for brisk dialogue and negotiations with sincerity.

The Koreans in the north and the south and abroad should achieve the great unity in disregard of differences in ideology, political view and ism at the crossroads of the national history of independent reunification or permanent division.
