The meeting was attended by members and alternate members of the C.C., the UAWK and its officials in Pyongyang and local areas.

It discussed the issue of implementing to the letter the important tasks set forth by Marshal Kim Jong Un in his New Year address.

Ri Myong Gil, chairman of the Central Committee of the UAWK, made a report to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers underscored the need for all organizations and officials of the UAWK to dynamically conduct the organizational and political work for arousing its members in the drive to glorify this significant year as a year of great victories and revolutionary, auspicious events.

They called for creditably implementing the last instructions given by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il to the field of the union without an inch of deflection and without any concession.

They underlined the need to raise a hot wind for producing precious research achievements by making a powerful drive for breaking through the cutting edge.

They called for actively introducing scientific farming methods such as water-saving style farming method and conducting an effective socialist emulation for increased production to overfulfill the grain production goal set forth by the party.

They also called for arousing the union members to the campaign to restore the mountains of the country so as to turn them into "mountains of gold" thickly wooded with trees.
