In the finals he trounced his Azerbaijani rival 12:2 within 40 seconds of the second round.

Kim Kum Hyok defeated his Kazakh and Iranian rivals in 50 kg category freestyle wrestling to advance into finals.

In the finals he humbled his Azerbaijani rival 6:0.
