Schoolchildren March along Course of 250-mile Journey for National Liberation

Kanggye, January 31 (KCNA) -- A group of schoolchildren from across the country are hastening their march to their destination to mark the 90th anniversary of President Kim Il Sung's start of the 250-mile journey for national liberation and the 40th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's organizing of the march along the course of the journey.

After leaving Hyangsan, the members of the group visited Jonchon Inn and Pyolha Lodge associated with the revolutionary activities of the President during the journey, while marching via Huichon, Jonchon and Songgan.

Having crossed one steep pass after another, they arrived in Kanggye City on Jan. 30.

There the schoolchildren were greeted by leading officials, school youth and children and working people in Jagang Province and Kanggye City.

They placed a floral basket and bunches of flowers before the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in the city and paid tribute to them.

They visited the revolutionary sites Kanggye Inn and Kanggye Post Office to look round the historic mementoes preserved there with much care.

Then they left for Phophyong on Jan. 31.
