Javid Ahmad, administrative director of the Times Publishing House in Kuwait who is also chairman of the Kuwait Asian Journalist Association, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The preparatory committee set the celebration period from Jan. 27 to Feb. 18 and decided to give publicity to articles praising Songun leadership feats of Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un and arrange colorful political and cultural events in the period.
