The study tour was sponsored to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the 250-mile journey for national liberation made by President Kim Il Sung and the 40th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's organizing of the march along the course.

A meeting for conveying the gifts took place on the spot.

Present there were Choe Ryong Hae, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Jon Yong Nam, chairman of the C.C., the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, officials concerned and members of the study tour group.

Choe Ryong Hae in his speech said that the gifts sent by Kim Jong Un reflect his deep trust and strong hope that the participants in the study tour would deeply grasp the revolutionary history and immortal exploits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il recorded in the revolutionary and historic 250-mile journey and carry forward it as the one of loyalty and a long journey of the Songun revolution.

He called on all members of the study tour group to cherish through the tour the unshakable faith to firmly believe in Kim Jong Un and follow him in any adversity and fully prepare themselves as a scouting party and reserves for the Songun revolution living in the revolutionary spirit of Mt. Paektu, the spirit as strong as the blizzards on Mt. Paektu.
