According to information on the inauguration of the preparatory committee, it consists of Dmitri Kostenko, chairman of the Russian Association for the Study of the Juche Idea, and other 16 personages of Juche idea study organizations.

The preparatory committee decided to organize working groups for events marking the Day of the Shining Star at the Juche idea study organizations till February 1, hold a seminar on the sacred revolutionary career and immortal exploits of Kim Jong Il and meeting and carry and post data on his greatness in publications and on websites.

And it decided to send a congratulatory message to supreme leader Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star.
