The title of academician was awarded to Pak Tong Ho, researcher at the Veterinary Institute of the Academy of Agricultural Science, and the title of candidate academician to Jon Chol Rye, researcher at Hamhung University of Hydraulic Engineering.

Professorship went to Kim Song Ho, department head of Kim Il Sung University, Ri Kwang Su, department head of Kim Chaek University of Technology, Kim Song Yu, section chief of the Korea General Red Cross Hospital, and ten others.

Doctorate was conferred upon Kim Kum Suk, department head of the University of National Economy, Kil Jong Su, department head of Nampho University of Fisheries, Pak Song Ryong, manager of the Samcholli Lighting Appliances Factory, and others and assistant professorship went to 138 intellectuals.

A ceremony of awarding the academic degrees and titles took place at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on Tuesday.
