Present there on invitation were the minister of Labor, War Wounded and Society of Vietnam, the deputy head of the General Political Department of the Vietnamese People's Army who is a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the vice-chairman of the Commission for External Affairs of the C.C., the CPV and other officials concerned.

Present there were Kim Chang Il, DPRK ambassador to Vietnam, and staff members of his embassy and a delegation of the DPRK Foreign Ministry led by Vice-Minister Ri Kil Song.

Floral baskets sent by the Commission for External Affairs of the C.C., the CPV, ministries of the government including the Foreign Ministry, organizations and institutions of Vietnam were placed before the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

The minister of Labor, War Wounded and Society of Vietnam in a speech at the reception said that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries provided by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kim Il Sung and cultivated by the leaders of several generations have been proved in practice to be precious assets for both sides.

He wished the Korean people greater successes in building a thriving socialist nation under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea headed by First Secretary Kim Jong Un.

He hoped that the bilateral relations would further develop in conformity with the desire of the two peoples and the trend of the times this year marking the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries, the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the 70th anniversary of the national day of Vietnam, the 40th anniversary of the complete liberation of southern Vietnam and reunification of the country, the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation and the 70th anniversary of founding of the Workers' Party of Korea.
