Pyongyang, February 4 (KCNA) -- South Korean people of different social standings expressed the will to wage ceaseless actions for probing the truth behind the ferry Sewol disaster despite obstructions of the conservative forces. The Seoul City authorities, at the prodding of the conservative forces, sent an official notice to the sit-in strikers, urging them to be ready for the withdrawal of the tents in the venue of the sit-in they were launching at the Kwanghwamun plaza in Seoul on January 26. In this regard, a person concerned with the All-People Measure Council for Sewol Disaster said on January 31 that the conservative forces pressed the Seoul City authorities although the probe into the truth behind the disaster had not begun and majority of the citizens expressed sympathy with the demand for the probe. The "government" is not thinking of proper probe into the truth though it set up a fact-finding committee, the person said, adding that they would protect the venue of sit-in till the truth is probed. Meanwhile, on Jan. 26, 300 days after the disaster bereaved families and other people marched from the joint incense-burning altar in Ansan, Kyonggi Province, to Phaengmok Port in Jindo, South Jolla Province. |
