Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA) -- The Korea General Red Cross Hospital succeeded in bilateral renal prosthetic bypass. In this regard, Kim Yong Chol, a vice-director of the hospital, told KCNA: Different methods have been applied to curing nephropathies in the world. One of those nephropathies is renal arterial stenosis, which can be found mainly among women under 40. The bilateral renal prosthetic bypass has been an exclusive property of some developed countries. Ri Yong Jin, a doctor who performed the bypass operation, said: The patient was a 23 year-old woman suffering from bilateral renal arterial stenosis. After the operation, her blood pressure returned to normal and symptoms of nephropathies were removed. The result of the operation shows that surgical operation is better than drug treatment in curing renal arterial stenosis. |
