The meeting discussed the action program of Pomminryon to glorify this significant year marking the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation as the year of a landmark turn in opening up a broad avenue to independent reunification.

A report was made at the meeting.

The report said that Pomminryon has led the reunification movement of the fellow countrymen, meeting the challenges of anti-reunification forces without the slightest vacillation and hesitation true to its responsibility and duty before the times and the nation.

It noted that Pomminryon fully supported the appeal adopted at the joint meeting of the government, political parties and organizations of the DPRK that reflected the unanimous desire and aspiration of all the Koreans after the improvement of the inter-Korean relations and independent reunification.

It indicated tasks and ways for Pomminryon to hold high the slogan "Let the whole nation join efforts to open up a broad avenue to independent reunification in this year of the 70th anniversary of national liberation!"

It stressed that Pomminryon marking its 25th founding anniversary should creditably fulfill its responsibility and honorable mission as vanguard for national reunification and standard-bearer of great national unity and thus glorify this significant year marking the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation as the year of a landmark turn in opening up a broad avenue to independent reunification.

A joint resolution was adopted at the meeting.
