S. Korean Organization Declares to Hold in Check Crackdown under Pretext of Security

Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- Civic and public organizations and personages of south Korea held a meeting at the Hyangrin Church on Feb. 5 and formed the measure committee of civic and public organizations for checking suppression under the pretext of security, according to the south Korean internet paper Jaju Minbo.

The crackdown upon progressive forces is becoming harsher day by day. The puppet Ministry of Justice is keen on revising the "Security Law" for the worse to forcibly dissolve organizations for the reunification movement.

At the meeting speakers said that organizations and citizens should get united in protest against the authorities' crackdown.

They said that the organization would conduct various activities including a meeting to hear testimonies of victims and lecture on the theme of abrogating the "Security Law".

They stressed the need to expand the actions to hold in check the crackdown under the pretext of security by strengthening solidarity with international organizations.
