New Nutritive Additive in Mushroom Substrate Developed

Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- The Central Mushroom Research Institute in the DPRK has recently developed a nutritive additive in mushroom substrate as a substitute for rice bran. In this regard, Ri Son Hui, director of the institute, told KCNA: The development of new additive is of great significance in mushroom cultivation. The new additive contains tens of microelements including silicon, potassium, sodium, iron and calcium, which take good effect in controlling physiological function of mushroom. And it is little different from rice bran in nutritive value and easy to produce through simple heat treatment. |
