Torsten Schoevitz, chairman of the Communist Party of Germany, and other speakers quoted Kim Jong Un's address as saying we think it is possible to resume the suspended high-level contacts and hold sectoral talks if the south Korean authorities are sincere in their stand towards improving inter-Korean relations through dialogue and there is no reason why we should not hold a summit meeting if the atmosphere and environment for it are created. They praised this as an important historic proposal.

They urged the south Korean authorities to accept the proposal without fail.

The chief criminals straining the situation on the Korean peninsula are the U.S. who is resorting to the reckless nuclear and "human rights" rackets and the south Korean authorities yielding to outside forces with their rifle turned on the compatriots, they noted.

The Communist Party of Germany fully supports the New Year Address made by Kim Jong Un and will invariably encourage the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people in their struggle for achieving the country's reunification, they stressed.
