Documentary films on his revolutionary history and feats "O Korea, I Will Add Glory to Thee", "Shining Star of Mt. Paektu" and "Shine, Jong Il Peak" will be screened at cinemas and cultural houses in Pyongyang and local areas.

"We Will Follow You to the End of the Earth", "Desire", "Lifeline" and other feature films will also be shown.

The opening ceremony took place at the People's Palace of Culture on Tuesday.

Minister of Culture Pak Chun Nam made an opening address.

He said that the immortal feats performed by Kim Jong Il serve as precious treasure for the Workers' Party of Korea, the army and people of the DPRK that can not be bartered for anything as they are advancing toward the final victory of the Songun revolutionary cause in another century of Juche, and the eternal foundation for the prosperity of the country and the happiness for all ages

At the end of the opening ceremony the participants watched the documentary film "Under the Guidance of the Great Brilliant Commander" (22).

The week of film show week opened in all provinces on the same day.
