The factory are producing tires for 42-ton and 55-ton lorries, etc.

In this regard, O Phil Su, manager of the factory, told KCNA:

We have updated the production processes by our own efforts. When starting the modernization, it was planned to import some equipments from foreign countries, but imperialists' sanctions against the DPRK made it impossible. So, we were determined to modernize the production processes of the factory by our own efforts.

The new production processes make it possible to develop new kinds of tires with their serviceable life 2 times longer than imports, while lessening curing-time by two hours.

As a result, the productivity of the factory has been increased over seven times.
