The competition was divided into the 5 panels of the General Bureau of Public Service, public catering establishments in Pyongyang and every province, external service and service of ministries and national institutions.

The competition was divided into designated dishes including sinsollo, seafood casserole and corn breads and meat, fish and mushroom dishes and drinks prepared by the participating units in specified time and an exhibition of potato and maize based-food.

Designated dishes prepared by cooks from Okryu Restaurant and Chongryu Restaurant clearly showed the specific features of Korean dishes full of national flavor.

Attracting the attention of the participants were varieties of dishes presented by Chongchun Restaurant, Ryonmot Restaurant and other catering establishments.

Dishes prepared by different restaurants were highly appreciated by participants for advantages and unique tastes of dishes.
