Present there were Fumihiro Himori, chairman of the Japan Committee for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea; Shingo Kanemaru, political secretary for Sin Kanemaru who was vice-president of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan; Dewi Sukarno, honorary chairperson of the Society for Disseminating and Supporting Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia; Kenichi Ogami, secretary general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea; Genki Nakamura, chairman of the Japan-Korea Society for Scientific and Educational Interchange; Eiko Tomiyama, vice-president of the Central Executive Committee of the New Socialist Party of Japan; members of the Japan-DPRK friendship organizations and the Juche idea study organizations and media persons.

Present there on invitation were Nam Sung U, vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan, and officials of the association.

The chairman of the Japan Committee for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea made a report to be followed by speeches.

They lauded Kim Jong Il for performing immortal feats before the country and people, the era and history with his outstanding idea and energetic Songun revolutionary leadership.

They noted that the Japanese prime minister denies the history of aggression, far from making a sincere reparation and apology for the past wrongdoings. They vowed to conduct the dynamic campaign to realize the normalization of the relations between Japan and the DPRK this year marking the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

They wished the army and the people of the DPRK successes in the work to bring about prosperity of Songun Korea under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un. They hoped for the great advance in the inter-Korean relations by the united efforts of the Koreans.
