The statement said:

The great President Kim Il Sung, an invincible and iron-willed commander and gifted strategist, set forth the line on building the regular armed forces after Korea's liberation and developed the Korean People's Revolutionary Army into the Korean People's Army (KPA), modern and regular armed forces, and thus performed the undying feats in the history of building the Juche-oriented revolutionary armed forces.

The KPA resolutely smashed the invasion by the U.S. imperialists to nip the young DPRK in the bud early in the 1950s and honorably defended the dignity of the country and safety of the people.

The KPA seized the U.S. spy ship Pueblo, shot down the large-sized spy plane EC-121 and shattered every war provocation of the U.S. imperialist aggressors.

It also mercilessly retaliated against the enemies who had been engaged in provocations on Yonphyong Island in the West Sea of Korea in November 2010.

The regular revolutionary armed forces of Korea are developing day by day under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un, supreme commander of the KPA, and will certainly win the final victory in the decisive battle against the U.S. imperialists.
