Displayed at the venue of the meeting were works of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu and other books.

Present there were personages of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, the Foreign Ministry, Korean War Veterans' Council, Academy of Sciences and Koryo Medical Centre in Russia.

DPRK Ambassador to Russia Kim Hyong Jun and staff members of his embassy were present on invitation.

V. A. Petrov, chairman of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, made a report at the meeting to be followed by speeches of C. M. Kramarenko, chairman of the Korean War Veterans' Council of Russia, and others.

They praised Kim Jong Il as an outstanding strategist, most distinguished revolutionary and prominent politician in the present era, adding the feats he performed for the development of the traditional Russia-DPRK friendly relations will be immortal.

They sincerely wished the Korean people greater successes in building a thriving nation and carrying out the cause of national reunification, rallied close around Marshal Kim Jong Un.

A congratulatory message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
