A meeting of the association took place.

Present there were Chairwoman Choe Un Bok and other officials of the association, representatives of its affiliated organizations, Korean compatriots and artistes in China, officials of the DPRK consulate general in Shenyang and branch members.

Attending it were the deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Yanbian Korean Nationality Autonomous Prefecture People's Government, deputy mayor of the Yanji City People's Government, the director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Yanji City People's Government and other personages of China.

Choe Un Bok said in a report that Generalissimo Kim Jong Il was a prominent thinker and theoretician, extraordinary elder statesman and peerless patriot and tender-hearted father of all people.

Noting that respected Marshal Kim Jong Un is leading the Korean revolution to victory, she went on:

The revolutionary cause of Juche is sure to emerge victorious thanks to the Marshal, the invincible revolutionary army and single-minded unity of all the people.

The officials of the association and all Koreans in China will make positive efforts for the patriotic work and patriotic movement for reunification to proudly greet the grand festival in October.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.

The participants in the meeting watched a Korean film documenting the exploits Kim Jong Il performed for the work to implement the cause of global independence.

A concert and photo and book exhibition took place.

Earlier, a similar event was held in Shenyang under the sponsorship of the Liaoning Regional Association of the General Association of Koreans in China on February 6.
