The joint slogans are the programmes for implementing to the letter the tasks set forth by supreme leader Kim Jong Un in his New Year address, Rodong Sinmun Friday says in an editorial, and goes on:

The publication of the joint slogans made it possible to provide powerful ideological and mental weapons to continue stirring up the revolutionary spirit of the army and people of the DPRK running high from the outset of the year true to his New Year address and raise the hot wind of leap forward on all fronts.

The historic significance of the publication of the joint slogans lies in instilling conviction of certain victory and optimism into all service personnel and people and making the whole country seethe with a drive to implement the party's idea and defend the party's policies.

The basic spirit of the joint slogans is to encourage all party members, service personnel and people to make persevering efforts in the revolutionary spirit of Paektu and the spirit of the blizzards of Paektu as befitting the descendants of President Kim Il Sung and soldiers and disciples of leader Kim Jong Il and thus glorify this significant year as a year of the great victory and revolutionary, auspicious year to be specially recorded in the history of the country.

All the party members, service personnel and people should wage a powerful struggle to implement the joint slogans and dynamically advance toward the square for celebrating the victory.
