Kim Jong Il Youth Honor Prize was awarded to eight primary committees of the youth league and its 20 officials and members who devotedly worked to build the youth league organizations into the ranks of the Songun young vanguard, performed exploits in defending the motherland and building a thriving nation and distinguished themselves in study and organizational life.

Kim Jong Il Children Honor Prize was conferred upon 103 members of the children's union who set examples in study, organizational life, social and political activities and do-good-thing movement to become genuine juvenile revolutionaries and children's guards in the Songun era.

An awarding ceremony took place at the hall of the youth league on Friday.
