U.S. Accused of Blocking North-South Dialogue
Pyongyang, February 13 (KCNA) -- The People for Achieving Peace and Reunification in south Korea held a press conference outside the puppet Foreign Ministry in Seoul on Feb. 9 to denounce the U.S. for blocking the north-south dialogue.

In a press release the organization said the U.S. is becoming all the more undisguised in its moves to block the south-north dialogue.

High-ranking officials of the U.S. Department of State and Department of Defense visited south Korea one after another and are holding talks with their south Korean counterparts, and the south Korea-U.S. defense meeting is to be held on Feb. 11.

The U.S. deputy state secretary in a press conference before his visit to south Korea indicated the will to deploy THAAD in south Korea, an indication that the U.S. is still clinging to the policy for military pressure through the establishment of the missile defense system, it held.

The Obama administration in a recent national security strategy insisted on Asia rebalancing and strategic patience policy, it said, adding it is aimed to continue putting military pressure on the north.

The nuclear issue of the Korean peninsula cannot be settled by force but solved through dialogue and negotiations, it said.
