US, S. Korea's North-targeted War Drills Blasted
|
|
Pyongyang, February 14 (KCNA) -- The south Korean air force independently staged a combat flight drill called "Flying Foal Eagle" on February 7. Search-battalions of the U.S. and south Korean puppet marine corps conducted a combined naval infiltration drill on the coastal area of Kanghwa Island on February 10. The U.S. and south Korean warmongers made an imaginary scenario at the Institute for National Defense Studies of south Korea and staged a drill for operating extended deterrence for getting familiar with corresponding procedures for politico-military counter-reaction under the pretext of "coping with threats of nukes, WMDs and ballistic missile of north Korea" from February 11 to 13. Papers Saturday say in commentaries this is a very reckless act of driving the inter-Korean relations to the extreme phase of catastrophe. Rodong Sinmun says: The south Korean authorities remain unchanged in their nature of seeking confrontation with the fellow countrymen in the north and cooperation with outside forces for a nuclear war against the north, not reconciliation and unity between the north and the south. The prevailing grave situation goes to prove that the south Korean authorities have not an iota of responsibility for the destiny of the north-south relations but are only seeking to hurt the fellow countrymen in the north by force in collusion with the U.S. The south Korean authorities should choose between two options: to come out for a final showdown with the north to meet a miserable end or halt all military provocations and settle the issue of the inter-Korean relations by the concerted efforts of Koreans. Minju Joson urges the U.S. and south Korean warmongers to bear in mind that they will face severe punishment by the servicepersons and people of the DPRK if they go so reckless as to drive the situation to an extreme phase, overheated with anti-north war hysteria. |
