The feats leader Kim Jong Il performed for the Korean revolution and the cause of global independence will always be remembered by not only the Korean people but also the world progressives, he said, adding:

Kim Jong Il greatly contributed to the cause of putting an end to the division of the Korean nation and ensuring peace and stability on the Korean peninsula.

He formulated the three principles of national reunification, the ten-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation and the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo put forward by President Kim Il Sung as the three charters for national reunification.

Thanks to his great bold decision, the north-south summits were held and the June 15 joint declaration, the milestone of Korea's reunification, and the October 4 declaration, the programme to implement it, were adopted.

The independent and peaceful reunification of Korea is facing big difficulties owing to the moves of the U.S. imperialists and the present south Korean authorities.

The anti-reunification forces' moves are bound to go bankrupt thanks to the struggle of the Korean nation to implement the north-south joint declarations to the letter.

The Korean people will win a new victory and reunify the country without fail under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.
