The bulletin carried special write-ups illustrated with a portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il.

In an article titled "Life dedicated to people" the bulletin said under his leadership the Workers' Party of Korea developed into a mother party fully responsible for the destiny of the people.

He pursued the policy of love and trust and benevolent politics, the article said, and went on:

He regarded Songun as the lifeline of the party and the revolution and solved all the issues on the principle of prioritizing the military affairs.

The biggest feat he performed was that he reliably defended socialism, future of mankind, by dint of Songun.

In another article titled "Fortitude and Will" the bulletin said that Kim Jong Il assumed the important post of supreme commander of the Korean People's Army on Dec. 24, 1991. It introduced his strong pluck, guts and commanding arts as a peerlessly brilliant Songun commander who led the stand-off with the U.S. to one victory after another.

An article titled "Popular policies in DPRK", citing facts, said that the Korean people are free from taxes and lead a stable life with all benefits provided by the state.
