Kim Yong Nam Greets Gambian President

Pyongyang, February 17 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, sent a message of greeting to Yaya A. J. J. Jammeh, president of the Republic of Gambia, on Feb. 12 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its independence.

Over the past 50 years since the independence, Gambia has achieved many successes in the work for the stability of the country and its economic development thanks to the positive efforts of the president and people of Gambia, the message said.

It sincerely hoped that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries would grow stronger and the president and people of Gambia would register greater successes in the efforts to build a prospering new society.
