Displayed at the venue of the event were immortal works of President Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un and books introducing Songun Korea.

Participants watched the Korean film "The Country I Saw".

Milton Burbano Bohorquez, chairman of the Ecuadorian Cultural Institute for the Study of the Juche Idea who is secretary general of the preparatory committee, said:

Kim Jong Il turned the DPRK into a political power based on the single-minded unity of the leader, party and the masses and a military power equipped with nuclear deterrent.

He made the forced march of field guidance day and night for the prosperity of the country and happiness of its people until the last moments of his life.

His sacred revolutionary career and the undying exploits will be handed down to posterity.

The Korean people will surely achieve final victory in the struggle for building a thriving nation and achieving national reunification as Kim Jong Un is firmly carrying forward the cause of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
