Pyongyang, February 21 (KCNA) -- Today is the international day of national languages. On this occasion, KCNA met Dr. Ri Song Ho, a researcher of the Linguistics Institute under the Academy of Social Sciences of the DPRK. Ri said: Pyongyang cultured language is the standard Korean in the country. Thanks to the Juche-oriented linguistic idea and policy of the Workers' Party of Korea, it has been steadily refined in concordance with the desire and sentiments of the Korean nation. It embraces all features of the Korean language and has an integrated norm of linguistic culture ranging from vocabulary to grammar. And it fully reflects the characteristics of the Korean nation and is easily accepted by all Koreans. President Kim Il Sung's popular and revolutionary writing style has laid a firm foundation of further developing it. Leader Kim Jong Il in his lifetime has also paid deep attention to its development. Now, Pyongyang cultured language has reached a new higher stage of its development under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un. |
