Rodong Sinmun Dismisses S. Korean Authorities' Rhetoric to Evade Blame for Catastrophe of Inter-Korean Relations
Pyongyang, February 24 (KCNA) -- The south Korean authorities are playing a poor trick to accuse the DPRK, far from feeling responsible for the north-south relations now inching close to a catastrophe. Puppet Minister of Unification Ryu Kil Jae at his retirement press conference said south Korea made "much effort for dialogue" and that "it is pity that successes have not been made as expected", creating impression that the DPRK is to blame for the failure to hold dialogue. At a "speech" made a few days later, he again pulled up the DPRK, claiming "it is not responding to the proposal for dialogue". A spokesman for the puppet Ministry of Unification also impudently urged the north to "respond to the dialogue proposal" and "show a responsible attitude".

Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes in a commentary in this regard: This is the height of shamelessness.

It is none other than the south Korean authorities that are hell-bent on sycophancy towards the U.S. and the moves to escalate the confrontation with the DPRK while blatantly challenging its efforts for the improvement of the inter-Korean ties.

It is absolutely intolerable that the south Korean authorities are pulling up the DPRK even though they have blocked dialogue through the war moves for doing harm to the fellow countrymen and the racket for escalating the confrontation of the social systems. This is nothing but a poor charade to mislead the public opinion and shift the blame for the failure to open dialogue on to the DPRK, and a crafty wordplay to cover up their criminal scenario for confrontation.

If they truly hope for dialogue and the improvement of the relations between the north and the south, they should not resort to the farce for evading the responsibility for the catastrophe of the north-south relations while mocking and insulting the dialogue partner but repeal its policy for confrontation with the DPRK, though belatedly, and take practical measures for opening dialogue.
