It is the firm determination and will of the Workers' Party of Korea to rapidly develop all fields and build a people's paradise by dint of science and technology.

Scientific research at present represents acute confrontation with imperialism.

The enemies are leaving no stone unturned to put sanctions upon everything required by the DPRK as they do not want to see it live well and get rich and strong.

With nothing, however, can they stop or delay the advance of the DPRK toward victory.

It is necessary to prevail and overtake the enemy from the front of science.

Only doing so is it possible to achieve the dignity and prosperity of the country and the nation and find a sure way of foiling the vicious moves to stifle the DPRK politically, isolate it economically and stamp out it militarily and winning victory, always taking the initiative in all confrontations with enemies.

The whole party and country and all the people should turn out as one to produce and construct everything and effect innovations by dint of science and technology and thus make all-out charge to glorify this significant year as a year of spectacular and shining victories achieved by dint of science and technology forever in the history of the country.
