Present there on invitation were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Jong Yong Su, minister of Labor who doubles as chairman of the DPRK-Iran Friendship Association, Kim Jong Suk, chairwoman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, and other officials.

Mansour Chavoshi said that HE Kim Jong Il, who is immortal in the hearts of mankind, was the great leader who dedicated his noble life to the prosperity of the country and the people's happiness.

He expressed belief that the friendly relations between the DPRK and Iran would grow stronger.

He hoped that the Korean people would make great progress in improving the people's living standard under the wise leadership of respected HE Kim Jong Un.

Yang Hyong Sop said that the Iranian friends celebrate the Day of the Shining Star together with the Korean people every year, an expression of reverence for Kim Jong Il.

Immortal feats he performed for the development of the friendly relations between the DPRK and Iran and the global cause of independence will shine long, Yang added.

The Korean people will as ever extend invariable support and solidarity to the Iranian people in their just struggle for achieving the development and prosperity of the country, he noted.
