Seen standing before the bust was a wreath sent by Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Choe Ryong Hae, Hyon Yong Chol, Vice-Premier Kim Yong Jin, officials of the party, armed forces and power bodies, service personnel of the Korean People's Army, bereaved family members and working people in Pyongyang.

Placed before the bust were wreaths in the name of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, ministries and national institutions and party and power bodies and universities in the city.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of O Jin U who remained unfailingly loyal to the party and the leader, the country and its people and took the lead in upholding the Songun revolutionary cause of Juche till the last moments of his life with white gem-like loyalty.
