S. Korean Body Accuses Management Side of Maltreating Workers

| Pyongyang, February 25 (KCNA) -- The Kumho trade union of south Korea held a press conference in Kwangju on Feb. 21 denouncing the management side for maltreating workers, according to an internet paper of south Korea. A worker of a factory in Koksong, South Jolla Province died on Feb. 16 due to inhuman maltreatment by the management side. At the press conference speakers described his death as a natural product of the conversion of regular job into part-time one and the piecework system. The workers opposed the system but the management side threatened a disciplinary action, they charged. They declared they would stage a sit-in strike inside tents in protest against the maltreatment of workers. |
