The Hamhung City Tree Nursery has cultivated hundreds of thousands of saplings, while paying efforts to increasing the species of saplings. It supplied more than 700 000 saplings to various establishments in the city.

The Wonsan City Forestry Management Station cultivated more than 1.2 million saplings of 10 species.

The Thaechon County Forestry Management Station put the sapling cultivation on a scientific basis, thus turning out more than two millions of saplings. The county set it a goal to build one thousand hectares of forest in this spring.

Preparations for spring tree planting have entered final stage at tree nurseries in North Phyongan, Kangwon and North Hwanghae provinces.
