Pyongyang, February 26 (KCNA) -- An event of the "day of Takeshima (Tok Islets)" was held in Shimane Prefecture, Japan on Feb. 22 with a vice-ministerial government official attending. Members of the Tok Islets Fellowship Society and other civic organizations and students of south Korea held a press conference outside the Japanese embassy in Seoul on Sunday to denounce Japan's moves for grabbing Tok Islets as evidenced by the above-said event. Members of the organizations related to Tok Islets also held a rally condemning Japan's shameless moves to grab the islets before the Japanese embassy on the same day, at which they demanded Japan cancel the institution of the "day of Takeshima" and stop at once the moves for tampering with history through textbooks. A written protest addressed to the Japanese prime minister was thrust to the Japanese embassy. One-to-one demonstrations took place on Sunday. Press conferences were held in North Kyongsang Province on Feb. 23 to denounce Japan's attempt to grab Tok Islets. Japan would be well advised to bear in mind that it will meet a disgraceful doom if it persists in the reckless moves to realize its ambition to grab territory of other country while denying its war crimes. |
