Rodong Sinmun Friday says in an article in this regard:

The "dialogue" touted by the south Korean authorities is nothing but an artifice to mislead public opinion at home and abroad and evade the blame for the failure to open dialogue between the north and the south.

It is none other than the U.S. and the south Korean puppet authorities that are deliberately laying obstacles in the way of north-south dialogue and putting a brake on the process to improve the inter-Korean relations.

The will for dialogue should be shown in practice, not in talking. Dialogue will never take place if the south Korean authorities persist in confrontation while paying lip-service to dialogue.

Only when all moves for confrontation such as north-targeted joint military exercises and anti-DPRK leaflet scattering are halted in south Korea, can the cause of mistrust and confrontation between the north and the south be removed, confidence be built and important breakthrough be made towards dialogue and mending of relations.

If the south Korean authorities truly want dialogue, they should stop provocative behaviors justifying their policy for confrontation with the DPRK and deceiving the public opinion at home and abroad and take practical steps for improving the relations, to begin with.

The south Korean puppet forces should face up to the trend of the times and the aspiration of the fellow countrymen and make a responsible choice.
