Its men's national team is scheduled to attend the Asian regional preliminaries for the 2018 World Cup from June.

The men's Olympic team will compete with its Thai, Cambodian and Philippine rivals in the preliminaries of the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship in March.

The DPRK is also to attend the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in October-November and have group league matches with Brazil, Hungary and other countries for the U-20 World Cup in May-June.

In August, its men's and women's football teams will participate in the 2015 EAFF East Asia Cup. The national women's team came first in the 2013 EAFF East Asia Cup.

Besides, women footballers of the DPRK are to attend the AFC U-19, U-16 and U-14 championships.
