The sky, land and seas of south Korea have turned into theaters of war drills.

Minju Joson Monday in a commentary terms this a blatant challenge and mockery of the aspiration and desire of all the Koreans for peace on the Korean peninsula and improved north-south relations.

Whenever joint saber-rattling was staged, the situation on the peninsula inched close to the brink of a war, the commentary says, adding:

That was why all Koreans and other peace-loving people of the world strongly demanded the U.S. imperialists and the puppet warmongers stop the joint military drills.

What should not be overlooked is that they are staging Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint drills against the north while openly spreading the story about "collapse of the north".

These days high-ranking politicians of the U.S. never open their mouth without letting loose a spate of rigmaroles about "the collapse of the north".

The south Korean puppet group is echoing its U.S. master's utterances.

Key Resolve and Foal Eagle are now being staged against this backdrop. This goes to prove that "dialogue" and "improved relations" touted by the puppet group is nothing but hypocrisy.

The U.S. imperialists and the puppet group are sadly mistaken if they calculate they can stifle the DPRK by force.

Explicitly speaking once again, they have been placed within the sight of the arms of Paektusan.

They would be well advised to stop going reckless, mindful of this.
