The National Defence Commission of the DPRK issued a statement on Feb. 4 in which it reflected the strong will of the army and people of the DPRK to resolutely cope with the U.S. imperialists' moves to ignite a nuclear war. This evoked a lively response and commanded warm support and sympathy from the progressive people.

This was a stern warning of the DPRK to the U.S. going reckless.

Much upset by this, some heavyweights of the Obama regime trumpeted about dialogue in a bid to pass the buck for the escalating tension to others.

While talking about dialogue, the U.S. was so foolish as to put up a precondition to seek the collapse of the Korean-style socialist system.

While oft-repeating dialogue, the U.S. staged a drill for operating extended deterrence means for the purpose of getting familiar with political and military counteraction procedures to cope with the north's "nuclear and WMDs and ballistic missile threats" in mid-February in collusion with south Korean puppet forces.

The U.S. imperialists made desperate efforts to sour the climate for mending the inter-Korean ties in January and went busy with joint military rehearsal together with the south Korean warmongers in February. This plunged the Korean peninsula into the worst tension.

This fact goes to clearly prove that the U.S. is the chief culprit preventing the inter-Korean relations from being mended and escalating the situation on the Korean peninsula and the enemy of peace.

Citing facts to show the trend of the world situation, the article stresses that peace and stability can never be achieved apart from the struggle against the U.S. imperialists keen on dominating the world.
