The People's Action for Peace against War of south Korea made up of more than 50 civic and social organizations held a press conference in Seoul at which they held that the joint military drills should be halted in order to put an end to vicious cycle of war rehearsals and solve the nuclear issue of the Korean peninsula.

The People for Achieving Peace and Reunification held a joint press conference with different civic and social organizations outside the U.S. embassy in Seoul.

Speakers there urged the authorities to stop at once the joint saber-rattling.

Its affiliated organizations simultaneously held press conferences and staged demonstrations in Pusan, Inchon, Taejon, Kwangju, Taegu, Puchon of Kyonggi Province and other parts of south Korea.

The Pusan Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration at a press conference said the above-said military drills are dangerous as they may spark a war.

More than 20 organizations in North Jolla Province including the provincial headquarters of the above-said committee held a press conference in Jonju in demand of a halt to the joint military exercises.

The Youth and Students Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration held a press conference outside the puppet Ministry of Unification.

Similar protest actions took place in various parts of south Korea against the U.S.-south Korea saber-rattling.
