The joint military exercises being staged throughout south Korea is an extremely reckless and dangerous move to ignite a nuclear war against the north the missions of which are to "eliminate" the headquarters of the DPRK and to "occupy Pyongyang" through a sudden preemptive attack, the statement said, adding:

The prevailing grim situation once again proves that the U.S. and its stooge, south Korean regime, are the very ones that disturb peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and escalate tensions in Northeast Asia.

The U.S. and the south Korean regime must stop such exercises, well aware of their plight getting further isolated under fire by the world's conscientious peoples and the whole Korean nation.
