S. Korean Body Accuses U.S. of Shielding Japan's War Crimes

| Pyongyang, March 5 (KCNA) -- The People for Achieving Peace and Reunification in south Korea staged a demonstration outside the U.S. embassy in Seoul on March 2 denouncing the U.S. for shielding the aggression crimes committed by Japan in the past. Demonstrators charged that the U.S. under-secretary of State for Political Affairs recently termed the just action demanding an apology from Japan and calling it to task for its inhuman war crimes an act to get applauses. They accused him of describing this just demand as "provocation" and conniving at crimes against humanity committed by aggressor Japan such as sexual slavery and forcible labor conscription. They condemned the U.S. for shielding Japan's war crimes and getting bent on building the south Korea-U.S.-Japan triangular military alliance. They demanded the U.S. government hold to account the official. |
